UK Police State Stories – Mobile Users Need to Register

In the UK now – mobile users will have to register into a DB – this is a violation of a person’s privacy. They will need a passport or ID to purchase a cell phone – every move they make will be monitored. Every word they say in the cell phone will be monitored. 24/7 you will be tracked….All Brits are terrorists now.

Passports will be needed to buy mobile phones

Everyone who buys a mobile telephone will be forced to register their identity on a national database under government plans to extend massively the powers of state surveillance.

Phone buyers would have to present a passport or other official form of identification at the point of purchase. Privacy campaigners fear it marks the latest government move to create a surveillance society.

A compulsory national register for the owners of all 72m mobile phones in Britain would be part of a much bigger database to combat terrorism and crime.

  1. Related to your article, is the latest news that the UK government now wants to track our mobile phone calls, texts, emails and internet browsing habits has got me enraged. For the past 11 years, this government has sought more and more control over its citizens, from installing 4.2m CCTV cameras, to the suggestion that we must respond to more and more intrusive questions when they complete the next census. It has simply got to stop.

On this occasion, I have done something about it, in my own small way. I have written an article outlining what the government is seeking to do and my views. But, I have also produced a ‘draft’ letter that can be personalised and sent to local MP’s. I am urging other likeminded people to reproduce the article, to include their own comments, after all, not everyone will agree with all my comments and then publicise it. Maybe we can start a programme where people start to bombard their MP’s with a demand that they do not support the latest data communication bill. The link is here if you would are to take a look.

  2. Thanks for your comments, UK Voter.

I was in London last month. CCTV cameras everywhere.

Here in the USA – our calls are being listened to and citizens aren’t being asked for their opinions. Telephone companies are complying with against US laws.

You have great ideas, it will take time to change anything but don’t give up! Someone has to stand up and says we’re not taking it anymore. Keep up the great work and thanks for that link – very informative – great to hear that UK citizens are not going to become sheeple and actually take a stand.

  3. Thanks Underboss, they say from “small acorns…”, lets hope its right. At least I will know that some of us tried. I understand that the Patriot Act in the US, was more intrusive, albeit that was a single act, our government is doing it by stealth.
